A modal-based balancing method for a high-speed rotor without trial weights

Abstract. The unbalance-induced vibration of a high-speed rotor directly affects the manufacturing accuracy. To effectively suppress this undesired and avoid complicated process using trial weights during balancing adjustment, modal-based method for without is proposed. First, matrix sweep operation employed to acquire unbalance equivalent plane (EP). Next, concentration methods, vector feedback principle (VFP) modal (MEP), respectively, are studied compared, while transfer continuous EP realized. Then, through analysis MEP, method, required, proposed rotor, which only needs collect data below critical speed.
